Purpose of the Job 

The jobholder is responsible for the delivery of key strategic Global Documentation initiatives, business integration and full commercialization in his/her region. He/she also needs to drive and implement projects and strategies surrounding Global Documentation including its Services, support network and associated process and procedures in an efficient and effective manner.

Principal Accountabilities

• Align initiatives with strategic drivers for an enhanced end to end client onboarding experience.
• Provide subject matter expert support and advice from a documentation, IT, channel or Global Documentation Platform perspective to local and global GPS stakeholders.
• Regionally oversee all doc project activities including change and transformation ensuring alignment  regionally and globally.

Customers / Stakeholders

• Be a representative for the region on all strategic doc-related initiatives and enhancements, feeding in requirements and communicating back updates.
• Provide regular updates to the GPS management on developments that can be used to enhance the GPS brand within the region via newsletters, webinars etc.
• Seek customer feedback regularly to ensure market/ competitive intelligence is also gathered and provided to the global docs team.

Leadership & Teamwork

• Provide direction and support to regional CII teams and even sales managers with regards to the launch and integration of new initiatives in the region
• Collaborate with Global stakeholders, Senior Management and other business areas regarding initiatives and strategies so that the projects provide effective and sustainable solutions to pain points.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with new propositions, including compliance risks, legal risks, and operational contingencies.  Provide recommendations for risk management strategies.
• Provide training and support to internal teams on new propositions

Major Challenges

• The jobholder will be responsible for the roll out and commercialization of new documentation initiatives and propositions  and hence must have the ability to support a range of initiatives that are linked to documentation.
• The jobholder will also collaborate with multiple stakeholders within GPS, CIB, Legal teams globally as required.  Hence the role requires strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of the structure of the HSBC Group and its values.
• Ability to adapt work style to meet varied workloads, communication styles and time zones.
• Ability to prioritise workload in terms of relevant risk and commercial consideration across all countries in the region.
• Maintain knowledge of HSBC Group operations and policies.
• Ability to handle complex tasks with less supervision and within tight timelines, adhering to client expectations.

Education and Relevant Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or law or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in contract management, preferably within the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on cash management or payments.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Advanced writing skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience in participating regional or global projects
• Knowledge of the Global Liquidity and Cash Management business
• Ability to prepare business cases and project plans
• Deliver quality reports, presentations under strict deadlines
