Design and develop cloud-based voice infrastructure for emergency 911 systems, focusing on SIP routing and call state management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high reliability and participate in on-call rotations for production voice infrastructure.

Axon 911's Carbyne Voice team is building the infrastructure that handles emergency calls — in the cloud. This is not a monitoring layer on top of existing telephony; it is the actual call-handling engine, responsible for every packet, every route, and every millisecond of uptime in a life-critical system.
As a Staff UC Software Engineer, you will help design, build, and maintain this infrastructure, ensuring that no call fails — ever. Your work will directly influence the reliability of 911 dispatch for PSAPs across the country, while advancing one of the most novel cloud-native voice platforms in public safety.
This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of four days per week in our Manhattan office.
