Lead design activities for advanced 2.5D/3D packages and establish Process Design Kits (PDK) to support client products. Create optimized package structures including die, interposers, and laminates while providing technical support and training to customers.
Requires a BS in Engineering (Physics, Electrical, or Materials Science) with 12+ years of experience in advanced package design and layout. Must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining government security clearance and proficient in tools like Cadence APD or Synopsys 3DIC.
Position Summary:
SkyWater Technology is looking for a hardworking, and passionate experienced Advanced Packaging and Layout Designer for our Florida Advanced Packaging site. In this role, you will lead design activities to support client products, support hardware such as custom die / bridges and test vehicles to establish Process Design Kits (PDK). Co-design methodology and design should be utilized to create an optimized final package structure based upon customer needs that include the full stack from die, interposer (organic / silicon), and laminate along with reliability support hardware. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to communicate ideas with foundry customers, colleagues, and management.

The annual salary range for this role is $158,960 - $238,440. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
