Use precision measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, coordinate measuring machines, electronic equipment, and pressure equipment.
Complete First Article Inspections and related documentation in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing requirements.
Calibrate, certify, maintain, and verify test, measurement, inspection, and diagnostic equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on tools and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Maintain accurate inspection, calibration, gauge-control, quality, and traceability records.
Issue, receive, and track gauges, tooling, and inspection equipment through the established calibration-management system.
Identify, segregate, quarantine, and document nonconforming products and materials.
Assist with root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Support the development of assembly procedures, inspection plans, calibration procedures, and quality-control plans.
Coordinate with Production, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, external vendors, and other departments to resolve product, inspection, calibration, and equipment issues.
Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by providing applicable quality and calibration documentation.
Complete assigned activities within established timeframes while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
Two or more years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, calibration, precision measurement, or aerospace manufacturing.
Experience using precision measurement and inspection tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
Knowledge of calibration practices, measurement standards, equipment tolerances, and gauge-control requirements.
Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9102 and/or AS13001 requirements.
