ASGCO Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Mining Engineer to serve as the company's technical mining expert supporting major surface and underground mining operations throughout the United States and Canada. This individual will work directly with mine management, engineering teams, maintenance departments, and operations personnel to identify opportunities that improve conveyor system reliability, increase production, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance safety.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of mine operations, crushing and conveying systems, material handling, and mineral processing while acting as a trusted advisor to some of North America's largest mining companies.
Primary Responsibilities
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering (required)
5+ years of mining engineering experience
Experience with large-scale bulk material handling systems
Strong understanding of conveyor belts, pulleys, idlers, belt cleaners, transfer points, dust control, and belt tracking
Experience in mine planning and production environments
Ability to analyze equipment reliability and maintenance data
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to travel approximately 50-70% throughout the U.S. and Canada
