Job Description Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Robotics & Automation Engineer to join the Industrialization team in GE Vernova’s Gas Power facility in Schenectady, NY. Become a key part of a strategic engineering team taking products and processes from concept to operational stability utilizing standard lean manufacturing principles for the factory.
In this role, you will collaborate across multiple organizations to design, develop, procure, install and qualify new manufacturing equipment, delivering full production ready processes. The Industrialization team will provide technical support and implement solutions for the Schenectady factory to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of advanced robotic systems throughout various Generator Manufacturing processes.
Design & Development: Create and refine blueprints and prototypes for robots and automated systems, including designing robotic structures, electronic circuits, and control interfaces
Programming: Write code for robot movements, develop control algorithms, and create software to manage robotic systems and applications.
Integration: Incorporate sensors, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) technologies to enhance robot autonomy, learning, and interaction with their environment.
Testing & Debugging: Configure, test, and debug robotic hardware and software to ensure they perform reliably, precisely, and safely
Maintenance & Support: Install, calibrate, operate, and maintain robotic systems, providing technical support and troubleshooting for issues that arise.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college
3 or more years of experience with robotics and automation in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in programming languages like C++, Python, and knowledge of control systems, embedded systems, microcontrollers, and computer-aided design (CAD) software
Eligibility Requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.

Strong equipment troubleshooting experience and attention to detail.
