Your tasks

• Designs, develops, and maintains platform‑level data engineering frameworks (ingestion, transformation, validation, and monitoring) as reusable assets within the Data Analytics Platform (DAP).
• Engineers scalable, resilient, and secure data pipelines supporting infrastructure, platform, and analytical use cases.
• Builds and governs reusable analytical data models, harmonization layers, and transformation templates to ensure consistency and performance.
• Enables self‑service data consumption by providing standardized, well‑documented, and governed data assets for consumer teams.
• Establishes and continuously improves data quality, monitoring, and error‑handling capabilities at platform level.
• Ensures reliable delivery of telemetry and operational data to support observability, monitoring, alerting, and root‑cause analysis.
• Implements and enforces platform‑wide data governance, security, and compliance controls, including role‑based access and row‑level security.
• Ensures alignment with OMV Group policies, regulatory requirements, and DAP governance standards.
• Coordinates deployment and operation of data products in production, ensuring stability, performance, and operational readiness.
• Owns and actively drives incident analysis and root‑cause investigations, partnering with infrastructure, platform, and operations teams to ensure service resilience, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborates closely with Data Architects, Data Product Owners, Data Scientists, BI developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into platform capabilities.

Your skills

• Education: Master’s degree in IT & C
• Relevant professional experience: > 9 years
• A professional expert with extensive knowledge and practice in data engineering and analytics platforms. Has excellent understanding of business context, data governance, and platform interdependencies, and manages complex data workflows across IT and business interfaces.
• Proven experience in data engineering, including data ingestion, transformation, and modeling.
• Excellent knowledge of cloud‑based analytics platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure ecosystem).
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling for analytics, and performance optimization.
• Excellent understanding of data governance, data quality, and security concepts.
• Experience with DevOps / DataOps practices, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to translate business and analytical requirements into technical data solutions.
• Proven ability to collaborate with senior IT and business stakeholders.
• Proficient English user (C1/C2).
