Work that matters 

As the Senior Administration Support Officer, you will provide high-level administrative and operational support to RadInnovate, helping to ensure the effective delivery of Centre activities, strategic priorities, and reporting obligations.

Working across a nationally significant research collaboration, you will partner with researchers, students, industry representatives, government stakeholders, and professional staff to coordinate a broad range of administrative functions.
These include financial and KPI reporting, stakeholder engagement, committee and secretariat support, travel and event coordination, and the management of operational processes that underpin the Centre’s success.

Drawing on your strong organisational skills, initiative, and attention to detail, you will serve as a trusted point of coordination for a diverse stakeholder group and contribute to the achievement of Centre objectives. Your work will support innovative research, industry collaboration, and the development of future leaders in radiation science and technology.

 

The team 

Reporting to Professor Eva Bezak, Professor in Medical Radiation please and Deputy Director ARC ITTC RadInnovate, this role supports the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Radiation Innovation (RadInnovate), a nationally funded research collaboration led by the Australian National University and delivered in partnership with leading universities, industry organisations, government agencies, and research institutions across Australia.

With participation from 12 partners spanning industry and government sectors, RadInnovate is building capability and fostering innovation in radiation science and technology through collaborative research, training, and industry engagement.

Experience 

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience: 

  

• Relevant demonstrated experience in an administrative role in a complex environment or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
• Demonstrated experience and skills in financial accounting systems and general administrative tasks, preferably in a university or similar environment
• Knowledge of databases and systems related to the management of a research organisation or other major facilities is highly desirable, or the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people both orally and in writing, and to be proactive and anticipate needs
• Demonstrated high-level organisational skills with proven experience in coordinating events, workshops and conferences is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
