Full job description
This is an on-site position based in our Central Office. Regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this role. Candidates should be able to reliably commute to the office.
The RMP Promise
Rocky Mountain Prep is a movement of educators, families, scholars, and advocates committed to changing public education in Colorado by democratizing college access for historically marginalized students and families. We operate twelve college-preparatory schools serving students from early childhood through twelfth grade, and we are fundamentally a world-class learning organization that invests deeply in every educator who joins us. Teachers engage in ongoing coaching and professional development, supported by clear expectations, transparent feedback, and opportunities to strengthen their craft and advance along individualized career pathways grounded in our PEAK values. Rooted in a culture of rigor and love, RMP promises to coach, develop, and champion every team member so they can do their best work and grow as professionals, people, and leaders.
About the Role
The Manager, Data & Analytics is a key contributor on RMP’s Strategy team, supporting the network's analytics and reporting needs under the direction of the Managing Director, Strategic Analytics & Reporting. This role plays an important part in translating data into actionable insights that inform organizational decision-making — maintaining dashboards, producing regular reports, and partnering with teams across the network to support a data-driven culture. This role requires close collaboration, careful attention to detail, and creative problem-solving when the path forward isn’t clear.
The Manager of Data Analytics at Rocky Mountain Prep drives...
Reporting & Data Ownership
Produce weekly data pulls on schedule — accurate, cleanly formatted, and ready for leadership and school staff review.
Support the Weekly Data Digest by ensuring all teams have submitted updates and that findings are clearly communicated.
Monitor monthly trends in academics, people, operations, and culture — flagging emerging gaps before they become urgent.
Build and maintain NST dashboards so teams can track their goals independently; keep them current and documented.
Cross-Functional Data Partnerships
Serve as a data partner to NST and school teams — pulling, cleaning, and analyzing data to surface insights and support team goals.
Manage the Strategy team's ad hoc request intake: triage by priority, track progress, and communicate timelines to requesters.
Support quarterly strategic planning by pulling historical data and preparing analysis to inform goal-setting and resource allocation conversations.
Team Support & Development
Provide proactive data training to NST and school leaders to strengthen their ability to track and deliver on the network's Big 5 goals.
Facilitate regular data reflection sessions with NST and school admin, highlighting year-over-year trends to inform seasonal planning and smarter resource decisions.
Requirements
Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, reporting, and visualization — with strong proficiency in tools such as Excel, Google sheets, BI, and SQL .
Proven ability to translate complex analysis into clear, decision-ready insights for non-technical audiences, including senior leaders and Boards — this person makes data accessible, not just accurate.
Strong cross-functional instincts and relationship-building skills: this role succeeds by being genuinely useful to every team in the organization, not just technically excellent in isolation.
Ability to conduct rigorous root cause analysis on organizational performance challenges and turn findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Strong change and project management skills. Comfortable operating as an analytical partner on complex, multi-team initiatives — including the ability to scope projects, define success metrics, and track progress rigorously.
High intellectual curiosity and a genuine drive to understand what is actually happening in an organization, not just report what the data says on the surface.
Deep commitment to equity and to the belief that data, used well, is one of the most powerful tools for identifying and closing opportunity gaps for historically marginalized students and families.
Must be based in Denver, Colorado.
This role will be in person
We use E-Verify to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires.
Preferred
Teaching Experience in K-12 education, charter networks, or a mission-driven nonprofit organization.
Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, or advanced statistical modeling applied to organizational or educational outcomes.
Familiarity with education-specific data systems (e.g., Infinite Campus, Deans List, Illuminate, NWEA MAP) and HR/people analytics platforms.
Bilingual in Spanish a plus, given the communities RMP serves.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required in data science, statistics, economics, public policy, business analytics, or a related field.
Years of experience (total overall years of experience and years of directly relevant experience required): 1-3 years of experience in data analytics, organizational analytics, or a closely related field, with a demonstrated track record of using data to drive strategic decisions in a complex organization. Education sector experience strongly preferred.
Salary
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $60,000 to $90,000, based on experience and qualifications.
