The Optical Technician is responsible for fitting and dispensing glasses and contact lenses based on prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists. They focus on maximizing retail sales while providing a high-quality medical experience and technical support for patients.
A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for previous medical or ophthalmic experience and at least one year of customer interaction. ABO and NCLE certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

This team member is trained to dispense and fit glasses and contacts, working from the prescriptions written by Optometrists and Ophthalmologists.
