The Field Service Engineer for Leica Biosystems is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of histology and pathology diagnostic equipment.
This position is part of the Field Technical Service department and will be located in Columbus, Ohio. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.
You will be a part of the Field Service Engineer team and report to the MidAtlantic Regional Field Service Manager, responsible for delivering high-quality, responsive service that ensures optimal instrument performance and customer uptime. This role requires strong technical problem-solving, ownership of service activity within your territory, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Travel throughout the district – this position services Columbus, OH and the surrounding areas, with expected travel of 70–90% and the possibility of overnight travel based on business needs.
Hold a current valid driver’s license and meet fleet eligibility requirements.
Candidates must be able to lift, lower and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted (tools, replacement parts, consumables etc.). Candidates must be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods of time. Candidates must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity.

The hourly range for this role is $34.00/hour - $38.00/hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
