As Event Specialist – Czech Republic & Slovakia, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing BYD marketing events across both markets. From new vehicle launches and customer experiences to exhibitions, dealer events, and brand activations, you will help bring the BYD brand to life and create memorable experiences for our customers, partners, media, and other stakeholders.
You will manage events from initial concept through execution and evaluation, working closely with external event agencies, suppliers, dealer partners, and internal teams. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong project management with creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing events across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Manage different types of events, including:
New vehicle and product launches
Customer and brand experience events
Automotive exhibitions and trade shows
Dealer and partner events
Test-drive and experiential activities
Corporate and internal events
Manage events end-to-end, from initial planning and preparation through on-site execution and post-event evaluation.
Ensure smooth operational execution and a high-quality experience for customers, partners, and other attendees.
Cooperate closely with external event agencies, production companies, venues, and other suppliers.
Prepare clear agency briefs and ensure alignment on objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
Supervise agency and supplier execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate quotations, production requirements, logistics, and event-related services.
Ensure suppliers deliver according to agreed quality standards and timelines.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, checklists, budgets, and event documentation.
Manage multiple event projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and priorities are met.
Monitor event budgets and support effective cost control.
Identify potential operational risks and proactively develop solutions.
Prepare post-event reports, evaluations, and recommendations for future activities.
Ensure all events consistently reflect BYD's brand identity, positioning, and global standards.
Support online and offline promotion of events in collaboration with the wider Marketing and PR teams.
Coordinate event-related marketing materials, branding, displays, and other communication assets.
Ensure a consistent and high-quality brand experience across all event touchpoints.
Work closely with Marketing, PR, Sales, Product, Dealer Network, and other internal teams to ensure successful event delivery.
Coordinate with BYD Europe and HQ when required for major product launches and international initiatives.
Collaborate with dealer partners on local events and activations across Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Support other marketing initiatives and projects when required.
Successful delivery of high-quality events within agreed timelines and budgets.
Smooth end-to-end coordination of agencies, suppliers, internal stakeholders, and dealer partners.
Consistent implementation of BYD brand identity and global event standards.
Engaging and professional experiences for customers, media, partners, and other stakeholders.
Accurate event planning, documentation, budgeting, and reporting.
Effective management of multiple projects and changing priorities.
Events that contribute to brand awareness, customer engagement, product launches, and commercial objectives across Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum 4 years of experience in event management, event marketing, brand activation, or a related role.
Experience within the automotive, lifestyle, premium consumer, or similar fast-paced industry is an advantage.
Proven experience independently managing events from planning through execution.
Experience working with event agencies, production companies, venues, and external suppliers.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Experience managing event budgets, timelines, suppliers, and project documentation.
Good command of MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to maintain an overview of complex projects.
Fluent Czech and English, both written and spoken.
Slovak language skills are a strong advantage.
Chinese language skills are a plus.
Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
Hands-on approach and willingness to take ownership from initial planning through on-site execution.
Able to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Flexible and comfortable responding to changing priorities and last-minute requirements.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
