As the General Manager of ACT office, you will oversee and direct the teams responsible for delivering banking services to our Australian Government agency customers.. As part of the Department’s leadership team, you will lead and develop individuals and teams to achieve goals and deliver RBA outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Oversee the day-to-day Canberra Branch operations.
Manage contractual and customer relationships with government banking customers and contribute to tender responses.
Lead, develop and manage team capability and workforce planning, including coaching, performance management and succession planning.
Provide advice and deliver reliable cost-effective services related to customers in line with the Department's business objectives.
Manage internal and external relationships and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
Provide support to the Banks executives as required.
Guide and assist Banking customers to ensure they meet the industry and government payments transformation strategy.
Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of policies, systems and processes, ensuring compliance as well as appropriate levels of quality assurance and control.
Create an RBA-values aligned culture, enabling an environment for high levels of employee engagement and achievement.
Your background:
Experience dealing with other Government Agencies, organisations, or Reserve Bank departments.
Proven experience in developing a high-performance, values-aligned culture, fostering engagement, accountability and continuous improvement in an operational workforce.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information is essential.
Knowledge and experience with customer service principles, quality output and cost efficiency drivers.
Understanding of Service Level Agreements, data insights and outcomes.
Experience leading, developing and motivating a work area or project of employees who exercise independence in their work, as well as implementing strategy.
Your team
You will lead a team of around 14, reporting to the Senior Manager, Service Delivery, Banking Department in Business Services Group.
As a part of the Senior Leadership team, you will contribute to the broader strategic direction and leadership of Banking Department, sharing accountability with other leaders for overall performance of deliverables and outcomes to meet the current and future needs of the Bank.
