The Opportunity

Most "agency" growth roles ask you to manage accounts. This one asks you to consult on businesses.

We're hiring a Senior Growth Strategist to act as a trusted external growth consultant to a small portfolio of ambitious, high-growth eCommerce brands. You'll operate the way an independent consultant would - brought in close to founders and leadership teams, diagnosing the business from first principles, and setting the growth agenda - but backed by the infrastructure of a 130+ person agency group managing £100M+ in annual ad spend across Meta, TikTok and Google.

This is a deliberate move away from a traditional client-servicing model. You won't be reporting metrics upward through an account structure - you'll bring the outside perspective, cross-portfolio pattern recognition, and commercial rigour of a consultant, then translate it into a growth agenda the brand's own leadership trusts and acts on. Because you're advising across several high-calibre brands rather than sitting inside just one, you'll see what's working across categories faster than any single in-house hire could - and bring that insight to every conversation.

You deeply understand the core levers that drive eCommerce growth: offer, conversion, creative, and distribution. You know how to diagnose performance challenges quickly, uncover opportunities others miss, and confidently present solutions that founders and commercial leaders trust and act on.

Working closely with Media Buyers, Growth Executives, and Creative teams, you'll identify growth opportunities, remove performance bottlenecks, and ensure strategy translates into measurable commercial outcomes - with the agency's specialist creative, media and data resource sitting behind you rather than in front of you.

Your Impact

• Own performance and growth strategy across a portfolio of eCommerce brands, operating as their trusted external growth consultant.
• Build and lead growth roadmaps tied to revenue, acquisition, efficiency, and profitability targets.
• Diagnose opportunities and bottlenecks across creative, conversion rate, landing pages, offer positioning, customer acquisition, and budget allocation.
• Turn performance data into commercially-focused recommendations that drive action at leadership level.
• Drive execution alongside Media Buyers, Growth Executives, and Creative teams to maximise account performance.
• Lead strategic conversations with founders and commercial leaders with confidence, clarity, and commercial insight.
• Deliver measurable business outcomes through testing, iteration, and optimisation.
• Use AI tools daily to accelerate research, analysis, strategic thinking, and execution.
• Help brand leadership connect marketing performance to long-term business growth.

Performance Strategy & Planning

• Develop and own comprehensive growth roadmaps aligned to each brand's commercial objectives.
• Build forecasts and growth models grounded in performance data and business context.
• Identify opportunities across acquisition, conversion optimisation, creative strategy, and offer positioning.
• Analyse account performance to diagnose issues and uncover scalable growth opportunities.
• Adapt strategy proactively based on performance trends, platform changes, and business priorities.
• Recommend strategic solutions with confidence and commercial clarity, as a founder or CMO would expect from an internal hire.

Strategic Execution & Collaboration

• Partner closely with Media Buyers, Growth Executives, and Creative Strategists to ensure strategic plans are executed effectively.
• Clearly communicate priorities, testing frameworks, and performance objectives.
• Create alignment between strategy, creative production, and media execution.
• Improve operational efficiency through clarity, accountability, and structured processes.
• Ensure campaigns, creative, and media buying efforts remain aligned to commercial goals.

Brand Leadership & Communication

• Build strong, trust-based relationships with founders and leadership teams as a genuine strategic consultant, earning a seat at the table through insight rather than delivery alone.
• Lead strategic conversations and confidently guide brand leadership through key growth decisions.
• Present insights, recommendations, and performance reviews in a clear and commercially-focused way.
• Own the narrative around brand performance, opportunities, and next steps.
• Help leadership understand not only what is happening in the business, but why it matters.
• Maintain exceptional standards of ownership, responsiveness, and communication.

Data-Driven Optimisation

• Use Shopify, Triple Whale, GA4, and platform analytics to monitor performance and identify opportunities.
• Translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations.
• Continuously optimise performance across creative, targeting, budget allocation, conversion rate, and offer positioning.
• Monitor key commercial metrics including ROAS, MER, CAC, AOV, contribution margin, and customer LTV.
• Champion a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.

AI & Operational Efficiency

• Use AI tools daily to accelerate research, ideation, analysis, reporting, and strategic thinking.
• Leverage AI to improve workflow efficiency, output quality, and speed of execution.
• Identify opportunities where AI can unlock better decision-making and faster insight discovery.
• Stay ahead of emerging AI tools and workflows relevant to performance marketing.
  

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns on Meta (essential), with proven DTC/eCommerce brand experience; experience across Google and/or TikTok is a strong plus. Brand-side or founder-facing exposure is ideal.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in Meta as our primary growth channel, with strong working knowledge of Google, TikTok, and the wider performance marketing ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of growth levers including offer strategy, conversion optimisation, creative performance, and budget deployment.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect marketing performance to business outcomes.
• Proven ability to diagnose performance challenges using data and recommend strategic solutions confidently.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills — comfortable operating at founder/leadership level.
• Strong understanding of creative strategy and performance-driven messaging.
• Experience collaborating closely with paid media, creative, and growth teams.
• High proficiency in Shopify, Triple Whale, GA4, and eCommerce analytics tools.
