If you’re passionate about advancing wastewater treatment technologies, optimizing plant performance, and delivering impactful infrastructure projects - this is your opportunity to lead meaningful work from concept through commissioning.
In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients and regulators, and guide projects from early evaluation and pilot testing through design, construction, and commissioning - helping shape the future of wastewater infrastructure across the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities

Develop solutions for biosolids treatment, including digestion and dewatering
Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and deliverables
Prepare and present technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
Support permitting and regulatory compliance
Provide construction-phase services, including submittal review, RFIs, field inspections, and startup/commissioning
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development efforts
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field
Professional Engineer (PE) license
8+ years of experience in wastewater treatment design and process engineering
Strong expertise in municipal wastewater treatment and nutrient removal
Proven experience managing projects, delivering on time and within budget
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD required
Experience with process modeling tools such as BioWin or GPS-X a plus
Experience with funding programs (SRF, USDA Rural Development) a plus
Ability to travel approximately 5-10% throughout New England
This is a hybrid role, offering the best of both worlds—collaborate in-office with a high-performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week. We're committed to supporting work-life balance while maintaining strong team connection and project delivery.
