Our purpose – Opening up a world of opportunity – explains why we exist. Here at HSBC, we use our unique expertise, capabilities, breadth, and perspectives to open up new kinds of opportunity for our more than 40 million customers. We’re bringing together the people, ideas and capital that nurture progress and growth, helping to create a better world – for our customers, our people, our investors, our communities, and the planet we all share.

Lead prospect/client discussions on fund set-ups and structures, cash management services, and digital platforms
Assess fund strategy and positioning liquidity and cash management solutions aligned to investment strategy and operating requirements
Set expectations for onboarding steps, documentation requirements, and timelines
Gather required information to initiate onboarding applications, including product selection and KYC (Know Your Customer) data
Partner with HSBC’s centralised onboarding teams to progress applications and expedite account openings; serving as the client escalation point for onboarding issues
Resolve complex client enquiries related to fund and cash management services (payments, product questions, platform navigation/support)
Coordinate with partner teams for product-specific support (e.g., wires, FX (Foreign Exchange), online banking, capital call lines of credit)
Educate internal partners on VC client characteristics (management companies, fund structures, operating models) to improve service outcomes
Advocate for Innovation Banking Fund Banking needs and ensure partner teams understand required service timeframes and expectations
Identify and engage the right partners across HSBC’s global network to solve client needs, staying actively involved until resolution
Assess current processes and influence change to improve client experience, scalability, and operational efficiency
Support ongoing risk monitoring in line with Global Standards, including AML (Anti Money Laundering) & Sanctions-related matters; act as an escalation point as needed
Partner with Relationship Managers and clients to address operational risk topics (overdrafts, NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds), fraud, etc)
Ensure consistent application of Group Policy and adherence to regulatory, financial, and legal standards to minimize business and reputational risk
You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
Relevant experience in Commercial Banking, Cash Management, Private Equity/Venture Capital, fund services, or similar
Experience in relationship management/support, client service, investor services, onboarding/implementation, or similar
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders
Experience supporting VC/PE (Private Equity) fund structures (GP (General Partner) /management company, SPVs (Special Purpose Vehicles), multiple fund entities)
Familiarity with KYC/onboarding workflows and cash management products (payments, online banking, FX)
Track record of process improvement and issue management end-to-end
As an HSBC employee, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities to ensure you have the right skills for today and tomorrow. We offer a competitive pay and benefits package including a robust Wellness Hub, all in a welcoming and inclusive work environment. You will be empowered to drive HSBC’s engagement with the communities we serve through an industry-leading volunteerism policy, a generous matching gift program, and a comprehensive program of immersive Sustainability and Climate Change Initiatives.
