Summary:
Foundever is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Engineer to join our team. This position will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing the company's enterprise networking infrastructure, including global WAN/SDWAN, Wireless LAN, WAN Optimization, Secure Access Secure Edge (SASE) services, Load Balancing, and Internet. The Network Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining documentation, testing processes, and providing support for security (Firewall, VPN, IPS, Proxy) applications
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement network infrastructure solutions to support the company's business needs
Deploy and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
Configure and troubleshoot network issues, including performance problems, security breaches, and connectivity issues
Implement and manage WAN optimization solutions to improve network performance
Implement and manage secure access and edge services to protect the company's network from unauthorized access
Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve potential problems
Stay up-to-date on the latest network technologies and trends
Maintain documentation, testing processes, and provide support for security (Firewall, VPN, IPS, Proxy) applications
Attend meetings with management and clients and contribute suggestions, and provide answers in a professional manner
Drive and work as part of a team on larger projects
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications:
Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience in network engineering
Strong understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security best practices
Experience with global WAN/SDWAN, Wireless LAN, WAN Optimization, SASE services, Load Balancing, and Internet
Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ASA/Firepower, and Checkpoint firewalls
Practical understanding of VOIP/SIP
Cisco CCNA certification (preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Skills that Would Be Beneficial:
Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Citrix
Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS and Azure
Knowledge of automation tools, such as Ansible and Python
Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to travel up to 15%
Ability to work different shifts and extended hours
Ability to lift 40lbs overhead
Valid driver's license
