Provide essential respiratory care to patients in general, clinical, emergency, and diagnostic areas. Collaborate with healthcare teams to create care plans and provide clinical instruction to students and new staff.
Must have a high school diploma or GED and be a CRT or RRT certified by the NBRC. Requires current BLS certification and a valid respiratory care license for Ohio and/or Michigan.
When a patient has a severe respiratory condition in a ProMedica hospital, a Respiratory Care Practitioner provides the care they need in a general, clinical, emergency, and/or diagnostic care area.
You will help create a care plan, evaluate goals, and maintain communication with appropriate members of a patient’s health care team.
In this role, you will help with clinical instruction of respiratory care, nursing, medical students, and residents as needed. You will also help orient new staff and contribute to the growth of others to strengthen the team.
