The Reading Specialist provides leadership and innovation in reading curriculum and instruction for students in grades 6-8. Responsibilities include diagnosing reading difficulties, implementing remediation plans, and collaborating with teachers to improve student academic success.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field and a valid reading specialist certificate. A minimum of three years of teaching experience and a proven track record of helping students achieve reading success are required.

Essential Functions
The Reading Specialist provides leadership, coordination, collaboration, and innovation in reading curriculum and instruction, so that each student may drive maximum benefit from the 6-8 middle school reading curriculum.

Salary
Minimum starting salary of $55,000. Placement above the minimum will be adjusted based on relevant experience, credentials, and demonstrated expertise.
