Our purpose is to provide comprehensive, coordinated systems of care related to the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with stroke and other cerebrovascular diseases.
General Description:
Will be responsible for communicating and coordinating programmatic workflows and opportunities with system, hospital, partner sites, and community stakeholders to provide care for the stroke patient population.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.
Serves as a liaison with hospitals that are part of the OU Health tele-stroke network throughout the state of Oklahoma and the region.
Travels as needed to various sites to assist tele-stroke partners within the tele-stroke network.
Ensures that OU Health and partner hospitals are satisfied with all components of the program.
Assists with stroke education outreach with internal and external partners as well as community stroke education and awareness activities.
Supports leadership and providers in committee meetings, process improvement projects and gathering of relevant data for analysis and report out.
Hosts regularly scheduled meetings with telestroke sites for quality improvement initiatives.
Works in collaboration with internal and external interdisciplinary team members to achieve excellence patient service throughout the plan of care.
In collaboration with the management team, is responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and development of education related to tele stroke.
General Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience as an RN in an acute care setting or One (1) year of acute emergency services
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the principles of supervising staff.
Skill in planning and organizing nursing care, applying advanced nursing clinical skills, maintaining records and charts, and preparing written reports.
Skilled in maintaining effective working relationships with others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Knowledge of nursing theory, practices, techniques, procedures and standards.
