The anesthesiologist will provide comprehensive anesthesia services at a Level I Adult Trauma Center and teaching hospital. They will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, safe patient care across a broad range of surgical specialties.
The candidate must be a qualified anesthesiologist capable of working in a high-acuity tertiary care environment. Experience or interest in trauma, teaching, and collaborative clinical practice is expected for this role.
Sentara Anesthesiology Specialists, a division of Sentara Medical Group, is seeking a Full-Time Anesthesiologist to join the team at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a 525-bed tertiary care facility. As the region’s only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit, SNGH also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
The hospital offers a broad range of surgical services, including general, pediatric, gynecologic, orthopedic, plastic, podiatry, urology, and ENT procedures. SNGH is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence and an accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center, with specialties in neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, spine care, advanced imaging, behavioral health, and women’s services, including a state-of-the-art NICU.
Sentara Anesthesiology Specialists is a highly respected team of anesthesiologists and CRNAs providing care to more than 15,000 patients annually across Hampton Roads, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and clinical excellence.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $388,024.00 - $623,916.80 annually.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
