The instructor will deliver FAA-aligned aviation maintenance curriculum and provide hands-on training to students in classroom and hangar settings. They are responsible for maintaining accurate student records, supporting curriculum updates, and ensuring a safety-focused learning environment.
Candidates must hold a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate and possess at least 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience. A high school diploma or GED is required, while an associate degree in aviation is preferred.

The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM)—the largest aviation maintenance training school in the U.S.—is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs), Aircraft Mechanics, and FAA-certified A&P Mechanics to join our team as instructors.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals exploring aviation mechanic jobs, aircraft maintenance careers, or instructor roles in aviation training.
No prior teaching experience required. We provide a 5-day paid instructor training program to help you successfully transition into the classroom.
