As our Insurance Property Inspector, you'll earn $20–$28 per billable hour.
What Makes You a Great Fit
We're looking for motivated individuals who enjoy working independently, solving problems, and spending time in the field. Previous experience in any of the following areas is highly valued:
Insurance inspections
Real estate or property appraisal
Home inspections
Insurance claims adjusting
Construction or commercial contracting
Loss control or risk assessment
First responder experience
To be successful in this role, you should also have:
A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a willingness to travel throughout your assigned territory.
The ability to work independently while managing your own schedule and workload.
Strong attention to detail with accurate measuring, documentation, and reporting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, smartphones, and Windows-based laptops.
The ability to complete administrative work remotely and submit reports in a timely manner.
A willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve.
The ability to work comfortably outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
No specific degree is required. We're looking for dependable, self-motivated professionals with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering quality work.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS AN INSURANCE PROPERTY INSPECTOR
This is a 1099 position with flexible hours. Field Operating Hours: Normal operating hours are from 8:00AM until 8:00PM, or dusk, whichever is earlier, Monday through Saturday. Unless requested by the policyholder or resident no surveys (or phone contact) will be completed after 8:00PM or on Sundays or Holidays. You will dispatch daily from home with no central office reporting required.
As our Insurance Property Inspector, you'll conduct on-site inspections of homes and businesses, capturing detailed photographs and documenting key features that matter to underwriting decisions. As you walk each property, you'll assess conditions, identify potential hazards or concerns, and gather accurate data that tells the full story. Back at your workspace, you'll compile thorough, high-quality underwriting survey reports, ensuring every detail supports informed risk evaluation.
