You will lead your team in overseeing and elevating the end-to-end candidate lifecycle through the recruiting and selection process, provide consulting and guidance to our Talent Acquisition teams and participate in projects that enhance the recruiting experience.
As a Talent Acquisition Senior Manager, you will serve as a high-impact, strategist and operational leader for some of our key lines of businesses in Technology. You will be responsible for translating long-term business vision into executable talent acquisition strategies, serving as a critical advisor to senior engineering and executive stakeholders.
In this role, you will lead a high-performing team of recruiters supporting high-growth businesses with complex and rapidly evolving talent needs. You will build consultative partnerships with business and hiring leaders, translating growth priorities into scalable talent strategies and delivering critical talent in niche, highly competitive markets. Leveraging market intelligence, talent analytics, and disciplined operating mechanisms, you will anticipate demand, identify risks, optimize delivery, and ensure the business has the talent required to scale and execute its strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a trusted advisor, aligning talent acquisition initiatives directly with business-critical objectives and shifting conversations from transactional hiring to strategic capability-building.
Establish rigorous execution frameworks and clear accountability to consistently deliver on complex, high-priority tech portfolios.
Design, implement, and leverage advanced reporting mechanisms and talent analytics to diagnose pipeline health, project market trends, mitigate risks, and influence executive-level talent decisions.
Architect and oversee the specialized sourcing function dedicated to identifying, engaging, and securing passive, top-tier Director+ technology talent. Drive innovative pipelining methodologies and ensure a premium, high-touch executive candidate experience.
Lead, inspire, and elevate a dual team of senior recruiters and executive sourcers. Cultivate a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and inclusion, coaching the team to elevate their business acumen and act as true market experts.

Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 5 years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or client consulting OR a combination of the three
At least 4 years of experience in Client Management
At least 2 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree or MBA
Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification
7+ years of experience in HR strategy or 7+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or a combination
7+ years of experience in Client Management
5+ years of experience in People Management
2+ years of experience with data analytics and reporting tools (i.e. excel, Tableau)
3+ years experience in strategic development

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr. Manager, RecruitingRichmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr. Manager, Recruiting
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
