The Enrichment Technician provides holistic care and behavioral support for laboratory animals to ensure their psychological well-being. This includes performing behavioral assessments, implementing enrichment programs, and ensuring compliance with ethical animal care standards and SOPs.
Requires a High School Diploma and 3 years of animal husbandry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. AALAS certification as an Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) is highly preferred.

The Enrichment Technician will work closely with colleagues and the Behavior team to ensure the highest level of holistic care for animals with Franklin Biolabs by providing enrichment to all animals and behavioral support as needed. The Enrichment Technician will follow the program for psychological well-being of laboratory animals by performing behavioral assessments, implementing enrichment programs, and conducting behavioral training and modifications that may be used for experimental procedures. Provide support to Franklin Biolab's discovery and preclinical research programs conducted in laboratory animals. Technician will ensure compliance with Franklin Biolab SOPs and policy, regulatory guidelines and departmental standard operating procedures as it pertains to the ethical animal care and use.
