The Engineer maintains and repairs physical plant systems, buildings, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient hospital environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, and fire safety systems, as well as servicing patient care equipment.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a journeyman engineer apprenticeship program. A minimum of four years of experience and a valid driver's license are required.

Maintains and repairs heating, cooling, and ventilation systems to ensure consistent and reliable environmental control.
Services and troubleshoots refrigeration systems and related accessories.
Repairs and calibrates pneumatic and electronic equipment and temperature control systems.
Maintains and tests emergency electrical systems to ensure readiness during power outages.
Installs, maintains, and repairs locks and door hardware.
Performs routine and emergency maintenance on electrical systems throughout the facility.
Tests, inspects, and repairs fire safety equipment, including alarms and sprinkler systems.
Maintains and services patient care equipment to support safe and effective clinical operations.
Conducts day-to-day running repairs to support the continuous and safe operation of hospital services.
