The Patient Access Representative serves as the primary non-clinical contact for hospital visits, responsible for greeting, registering, and admitting patients. They also manage insurance verification, collect payments, and ensure all medical and financial records comply with state and federal regulations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of healthcare experience or relevant clerical support. Proficiency in electronic systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle stressful situations are required.

As a Patient Access Representative, you’ll use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to collect insurance and other essential information, assist patients and families in understanding their financial responsibilities, collect co-payments, and ensure required legal documentation is obtained for state and federal compliance.
Your attention to detail in creating accurate medical and financial records will make a meaningful difference for both patients and our medical teams.
Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center is East County’s full-service hospital, always expanding to meet the community’s growing needs and offering an award-winning patient experience delivered with a personal touch. We offer advanced imaging, a modern emergency department, a welcoming family birth center, surgical services, intensive care, cancer care, gastroenterology and more.
Schedule will be Wednesday 8:30pm 7:00am,Thursday/Friday/Saturday 8:00pm-6:30am ED.
