Job Summary:
This position conducts clinical interviews and assessments for individuals referred to accountability court programs through Treatment Services. The incumbent serves as the initial point of contact for referring agencies, documents referrals, schedules evaluations, administers and scores assessment tools, completes clinical interviews and documentation, secures required releases of information, gathers supporting records, and presents cases for program assignment. Evaluations may be conducted at the Hall County Detention Center, Treatment Services office, Hall County Courthouse, or other designated locations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Conducts clinical assessments for individuals referred to accountability court programs Administers and scores assessment tools, including but not limited to:
Level of Service-Case Management Inventory – Revised (LS-CMI)
Texas Christian University Drug Screen V (TCUD-V)
Texas Christian University Criminal Thinking Scales (TCU CTS)
Beck Depression Inventory and other diagnostic tools
Clinical interviews
Maintains accurate, comprehensive clinical notations and documentation Makes program placement recommendations based on clinical needs
Prepares referral files and ensures all documentation and required releases of information are completed
Tracks all referrals in assigned database and maintains records for review
Follows up with ancillary providers to obtain clinical diagnoses, treatment records, and medication information
Assists in data collection as assigned
Attends weekly referral meetings and presents detailed clinical information and program recommendations
Attends status review meetings and court sessions as scheduled
Assists with drug screen collection as needed
Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Performs other related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education and Experience
Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field required. Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Addictions Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist preferred
Three years of experience conducting clinical assessments and utilizing diagnostic tools “preferred”.
Experience providing therapeutic services to individuals with substance use and mental health disorders.
Experience working with the criminal justice population preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced court environment with limited supervision Must be familiar with HIPAA and Federal Confidentiality Rule 42 CFR regulations
Licenses and Certifications
Must maintain all professionally related certifications
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist “preferred”.
