The Systems Administrator will ensure the functionality and availability of critical network infrastructure while monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for improvement. They will also collaborate with the team to resolve daily technical challenges and articulate complex metrics into actionable information.
Candidates must have experience in system administration or engineering, including device configuration and network troubleshooting, along with an active TS/SCI clearance. A high school diploma or GED is required, while a bachelor's degree in a technical field and relevant certifications are preferred.

As a system administrator on our team, you’ll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available. You’ll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning. Experience in a System Administration or System Engineering role
Experience installing or configuring devices, applications, and security tools
Experience troubleshooting network infrastructure
Experience automating deployments
Knowledge of optimizing system operations and resource utilization
Ability to recommend process improvements
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Experience operating and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Linux servers, including operating systems and virtualized networks
Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure
Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework
Experience with Linux, Unix, and SQL
Experience creating system and network diagrams
Knowledge of different layers of the technology stack, including network, application frameworks, database systems, and vendor solutions
Ability to use automation tools and Infrastructure-as-Code to manage installations, pipelines, and scripting
Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering
Linux or Cloud Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
