The Fun Days Attendant supervises and guides children's development in a safe environment while delivering high-quality early childhood education. They are responsible for building relationships with parents and participants and ensuring all YMCA safety policies are followed.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old with one or more years of experience working with children aged 5-12. Required certifications include CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse prevention training within 60 days of hire.

Position Summary
The Fun Days Attendant is required to adhere and implement the mission, goals, and values of the Lake Superior YMCA within the local community. This involves delivering high-quality early childhood education in the YMCA service area. The Fun Days Attendant supervises and guides a child’s development in a safe and healthy environment.

This position does not supervise Lake Superior YMCA staff or volunteers
Work Environment
Fun Days Attendant works in our Kids Club, gym, community and event rooms, pools and locker rooms, and rock-climbing wall locations. The work will be at least 90% of the time with children throughout these spaces listed.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Fun Days Attendant is expected to work one weekend a month (schedule provided in advance).
Program hours are 6AM – 5PM Saturday and Sunday, once per month.
Additional program hours for the week of Fun Days; bookending the start and end of Day Camp. Attendant would not be required to work full program hours every day.
Fun Days Attendant is a part-time position and hours of work will vary based on the needs and can pick up additional hours in Kids Club.
