DEPARTMENT: Women and Children's Program
The Coldwater House, located at 240 Coldwater Rd provides case management, life skills, spiritual enrichment and housing to 6-11 families (women and children only). This role reports to the Director of Programs. This program is in development to include transitional housing for up to 2 women who are non-custodial parents.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This onsite supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day direction to staff, clients and volunteers for the Coldwater House Program, that is in alignment with the mission "Restoring hope and changing lives". As the Supervisor in the residential programs this leader should reflect the core values of Open Door Mission which Faith, Family, Compassion, Community, Stewardship.
Position will supervise the onsite staff by training and orienting new hires and performing bi-monthly supervision meetings with each staff member, escalating performance concerns to the Manager. This position provides oversight to case management for families who are homeless with mental health, substance abuse, and/or experiencing other co-morbid disorders. This position will lead weekly House Meeting, oversee and rotate leading Bible Study and Life Skills classes. At times this may include overseeing the children and implementing activities with them while staff lead class.

Breaking the Cycle of Homelessness and Poverty
Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Each day Open Door Mission’s campus offers 917 safe shelter beds to homeless men, women and children, serves over 3,500 nutritious meals and provides preventive measures to more than 275 people living in poverty. To meet the basic physical needs of the hungry and homeless, the Open Door Mission’s day facility services provide free transportation from the downtown area to Open Door Mission and Lydia House. Open Door Mission offers life-changing programs for those recovering from life-altering addictions and abuse to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
