Department Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Vice President to join our Global Markets Trade Non-Personnel Expense (NPE) Management function. This role will involve all aspects of trade-related NPE spend optimization, including broker negotiations, comprehensive desk reviews, and the enhancement of infrastructure and reporting capabilities across our global trading operations.
Role Description:
NPE Management & Optimization
Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to optimize trade NPE spend across all global markets trading desks
Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for expense reduction without compromising trading effectiveness
Broker Relationship & Negotiation Management
Identify and execute broker negotiations, ensuring optimal terms and competitive pricing structures
Help support and maintain strategic vendor relationships
Support contract renewals and renegotiations to maximize value
Desk Reviews & Analysis
Conduct regular comprehensive reviews of trading desk NPE utilization and efficiency
Analyse spending patterns and identify optimization opportunities across different asset classes
Collaborate with trading and Business Management to align NPE spend with business priorities and revenue generation
Reporting & Analytics
Develop and deliver reporting for senior management and stakeholders to increase visibility of trade NPE
Prepare regular reports on NPE trends, savings initiatives, and optimization outcomes
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
Strong experience in financial services, with exposure to trading operations - understanding of trading operations, market structure, and associated costs.
Prior experience gained within trade NPE management or similar cost management functions demonstrating a track record in vendor negotiations and contract management
Experience with global markets trading across multiple asset classes
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
Excellent negotiation and relationship management capabilities
Proficiency in financial systems, databases, and reporting tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
