The LPN provides direct patient care by assessing physical and psychological needs, implementing treatment plans, and administering medications under the supervision of an RN. They also document encounters, assist in medical procedures, and maintain safety standards within the correctional facility environment.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current LPN/LVN license in the state of employment. At least one year of clinical experience is preferred, and the ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification is required.
