The Telemetry Technician is responsible for continuously observing patient monitors and responding promptly to alarms. They must accurately interpret EKG rhythms and ensure all findings are validated by a Registered Nurse.
Candidates must complete and pass an EKG class for Monitor Techs within 30 days of their start date. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with a background as an LPN, paramedic, or nursing student.
