What you'll be doing – The Role:
Ensure all Route Drivers are loaded and ready to start routes on time each morning. Make sure drivers rotate product regularly and manage par levels.
Work with Branch Manager to maximize route efficiency.
Ensure all Service Technicians are loaded and ready to start service calls on time each morning.
Oversee daily pulling of products and guarantee warehouse pulls are made so routes are ready for the next workday.
Oversee proper completion of all end of day paperwork by Route Drivers and Service Technicians.
Set clear daily equipment repair objectives for refurbishing.
Keep overtime work by operations employees to a minimum.
Instruct drivers, technicians, and warehouse employees in safe operation of equipment and vehicles, and use of proper loading and lifting techniques, so as to avoid injuries. Follow all accident reporting requirements.
Makes sure warehouse is kept clean and tidy.
Ensure all trucks are kept clean (inside and out), organized, and routinely maintained. Address vehicle problems and repairs, as needed. Maintain security of company vehicles and equipment.
Provide route relief and/or service work during vacations, extended leaves, or other absences.
Regularly interact with Customer Service in overseeing daily field work and with Sales Department to coordinate installs and equipment needed.
Keep Branch Manager informed of parts and equipment needs.
Address any problems between employees and promptly escalate significant employee or customer issues to management.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
