We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and highly organized Chief of Staff (CoS) to support the Controllership organization, which spans commercial controllership, NPI, accounting and finance operations, M&A and strategic partnership due diligence and integration, tax, and corporate audit. This is a hybrid role — roughly half dedicated to CoS responsibilities and the remainder to special projects and Controllership transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a versatile, growth-minded professional who thrives on variety and ambiguity. Because we're scaling quickly, many of our most impactful roles start as fast-paced, cross-functional problem-solving opportunities before finding their longer-term home. If you're energized by building things from scratch, navigating competing priorities across teams, and evolving your scope as the organization grows, this role is for you.
You'll serve as a trusted advisor to the Controllership leadership team — keeping priorities aligned, operations running smoothly, and key financial and organizational initiatives moving forward. Strong communication skills and a finance or accounting background are essential.
Reports to: Chief Accounting Officer (CAO)
Work Location: This role is eligible to be based out of Axon's US hubs located in Boston, New York City or San Francisco and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation.
