Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance of laundry equipment. Completion of technical school or approved training in relevant maintenance disciplines is also required.

The Utility Mechanic (3rd Shift) position supports the maintenance department by performing multi-trade repairs to steam, water, and mechanical equipment as required. This position is available in our Allentown, PA facility. The anticipated hourly rate for this union position starts at $27.11-$31.57/hr., is commensurate with experience, and has an additional $.60 shift differential. This position reports directly to the Plant Engineer and will be based out of the Allentown, PA facility. They will be responsible for working the following schedule:
The normal hours for this position are Mon-Friday 11:00 pm to 7: 00 am
Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds.
This position is subject to working in environments with moderate to high temperatures and loud noise levels. Additionally, it involves exposure to mechanical equipment, heights, high heat, chemicals, and airborne particles such as dust, fumes, and gases. Proper PPE is provided and required at all times.
