The instructor is responsible for providing lecture and lab instruction for Diesel Technology courses, including lab safety training. Additional duties include evaluating student mastery of competencies, providing advisement, and participating in curriculum development.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in the Diesel Heavy Truck/Equipment Industry. An Associate of Applied Science Degree in Diesel Technologies and specific engine certifications are preferred.

Lecture and Lab instruction for Diesel Technology courses.

Required Qualifications:
5 years of experience in the Diesel Heavy Truck/Equipment Industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Diesel Technologies
Cummins/Caterpillar/Detroit Engine Certified
Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
Knowledge in Canvas or other Learning Management Systems

Diesel Technology courses are taught at the North Las Vegas Campus, in-person and are scheduled during the day, afternoon, and evening.
Salary Information:
$925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
