Job Summary: Diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts key systems and components of On-Highway Trucks and related equipment.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions
Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures
Performs major engine repairs and related equipment repairs
Disassembles, inspects, determines parts required, and reassembles to factory specifications within TRGs
Provides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks
Prepares required documentation needed to complete repair orders
Performs Failure Analysis of failed engine components
Provides training and mentoring to Junior Technicians
Assists the service writer/supervisor with operations, e.g., work orders and authorizations
Uses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprograming engines
Completes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition and returns
Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletins
Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates
Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
Maintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicle in a good, clean, and working order
Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed
Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs
Projects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance
Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training
Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent , accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program required
Five or more years required
One or more years supervisory/lead experience required
CDL – Class A or B required
ASE – Master Medium/Heavy Truck Certification required
Conventional forklift license required
Has met HDSI requirements for preceding Technician levels; Ability to model and teach Holt’s VBL Culture

Limited travel or overnight stays, limited travel to customer sites may be expected

Physical Requirements:
Significant amount of time spent standing
Constant movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity
