Install, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems on aircraft in accordance with FAA and FCC regulations. Perform functional testing, modify wiring, and sign off on customer discrepancy sheets.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft avionics systems. Must possess broad knowledge of electronics and specific avionics systems like autopilot and weather radar.

Job Responsibilities:
Education:
Requires a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification. Duties require a broad knowledge of electronics and ability to use all test equipment connected with this field. Must have knowledge of the operation of avionics systems including communication, navigation, autopilot, flight director and pulse equipment including DME, transponder and weather radar. Two years college or technical school preferred.
Experience:
Requires a minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft avionics systems, troubleshooting and repair. Must successfully complete Avionics Tech A-AP-573 checklist prior to qualifying or hiring for Grade A. Working Conditions: Generally good working conditions, occasionally exposed to disagreeable weather conditions.
