The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for constructing, repairing, and calibrating specialized machinery, tools, and fixtures. They must collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment functionality while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Candidates must possess an Associate's degree and at least four years of relevant experience in a machine shop or maintenance environment. Proficiency in operating tool room equipment and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues are required.
Makes new and repairs existing machines, tools and fixtures by performing all operations necessary to construct, develop, alter, fit, align, adjust, calibrate and repair tooling, special machines and equipment.
Works with engineers and purchasing department to create purchasing requisitions for components, tools and dies.
Works with maintenance personnel during the construction of special machines and equipment builds to account for correct maintenance and repair of those machines and tools.
Capable of supplying sketches to engineering, to enable drawings to be made of tooling or new special machines and equipment.
Must be capable of operating all tool room machines and equipment.
Must be capable of on-site disassemble & reassembly procedures
Communicates with maintenance personnel, engineers and vendors.
Perform basic support type tasks of various trades that can be completed safely.
Maintain a clean and safe work area. Associates will be trained in and perform multiple work assignments.
