Micron’s Facilities Team is seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support operations at our state-of-the-art semiconductor fabrication facility in Boise, Idaho. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy, detail-oriented professional with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety and excellence. You will exhibit a high level of dependability and passion, embodying our core values of People, Innovation, Tenacity, Collaboration, and Customer Focus.
Operate and maintain instrumentation and control systems for facilities performance monitoring.
Perform calibration and maintenance of instrumentation, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and NFPA 70E standards.
Interpret P&ID drawings and one-line diagrams to troubleshoot system faults and alarms.
Conduct preventive maintenance on complex facility equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Monitor and respond to system alarms and abnormal conditions, promptly addressing system failures to efficiently restore equipment functionality.
Collaborate with team members to resolve equipment issues and improve system reliability.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, testing, and calibrations.
High school diploma or equivalent
1–3 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and controls.
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (3 days on/4 days off, then 4 days on/3 days off), alternating between day and night shifts every 4 months.
Valid Electrical Journeyman License.
3+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation and controls, preferably in a semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.
