The Activity Leader assists in planning and executing recreational programs to keep residents engaged and mentally stimulated. They are also responsible for maintaining departmental inventory, documenting resident progress, and fostering positive relationships with families and the community.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid New York driver’s license with a clean driving record is required, along with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Minimum 18 yrs. age required, HS diploma or equivalent required.
Valid New York Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
Ability to develop good relationships with staff, volunteers, families and visitors required.
Ability to inspire and motivate others, create a warm and accepting climate for residents and be able to adapt and modify activities to meet their needs required.
Understanding of the rights and needs of residents required.
Physical stamina for constant activity required.
This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
