Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field with state licensure (LICSW, LMFT, LPC, or LGSW). Current BLS and crisis management certifications are required, along with 2-3 years of experience in diagnostic assessment and therapy.
We are looking for a Behavioral Therapist to join our team and care for our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
At Voyages Behavioral Health/ PAM Health, we care for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. PAM Health has over 80 hospital locations and employs over 11,000 people across the country. Our teams work together to deliver the highest level of compassionate care ensuring the best possible outcome for our patients.
The responsibilities of the Therapist are to provide diagnostic assessments, therapy, and counseling and support services for a mixed caseload. This position will assist with the development of treatment plans, conducts individual family assessments and consults with attending psychiatrist or medical director concerning treatment plan and plan of care. The therapist will document interventions, provide referrals to outside resources and collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team. The essential functions of this position are those tasks, duties, and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. The Therapist reports and is accountable to the Director of Social Services.
