As a Sr. Electronics Engineer, you’ll dive into advanced instrumentation, motor controls, and power electronics to help us design, deploy, and optimize critical systems for our manufacturing and enrichment facilities. If you love tinkering with everything from simulation tools to modern power electronics devices — and want your designs to make a big impact — this role puts you at the center of it all.
You’ll lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge control electronics, from concept to completion. One day you’ll be building design packages and running simulations in PSPICE or MATLAB, the next you’ll be mentoring engineers or walking down systems to troubleshoot issues. You’ll manage multiple projects, collaborate across disciplines, and balance cost, schedule, and technical performance — all while helping shape the future of our centrifuge technology and supporting the Department of Energy’s mission. In short, you’ll be the go-to expert who makes sure our machines (and teams) run smoothly and reliably.

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $98,227 - $163,711. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
