What You Will Do:
As a Data Scientist Level 3 at Independent Software, you will apply data science, statistical analysis, and computational techniques to complex datasets in support of mission-critical operations. You will analyze and transform data, develop analytical models, and identify patterns and relationships that support data-driven decision-making.
You will work with technical and mission teams to translate requirements into effective analytical solutions and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and relationships
Apply statistical, computational, and data science techniques to solve analytical problems
Perform data cleaning, transformation, normalization, and integration
Develop and refine analytical models and algorithms
Conduct exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling
Develop automated and reproducible data-processing and analytical workflows
Create visualizations to communicate analytical findings and results
Evaluate analytical methods and model performance
Translate mission requirements into technical data solutions
Document analytical processes, methodologies, and findings
Collaborate with technical and mission teams to support operational objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in data science, data analytics, statistical analysis, or a related technical field
Experience working with large or complex datasets
Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and analysis
Experience applying statistical or analytical techniques to real-world data
Experience developing or supporting analytical models and algorithms
Experience with data visualization and communicating analytical results
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience:
Candidates must meet one of the following:
Master's degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience; OR
Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience; OR
Associate's degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience
Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Clearance Requirement:
Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
