The Critical Care Transport Paramedic assists with urgent and critical care patient transports while collaborating with the transport nurse to interpret data and establish care plans. They are also responsible for maintaining transport equipment and communicating with EMS and hospital staff to ensure efficient patient care.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, a paramedic program certificate or associate degree, and at least 3 years of paramedic experience. Required certifications include AHA-BLS, AHA-ACLS, state paramedic licensure, and a valid driver's license, with additional certifications like PALS and trauma life support required within 6 months.

The Critical Care Transport Paramedic is responsible for assisting with urgent and critical care transports in a prompt and efficient manner to all patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, documenting, and evaluating patient care in conjunction with the critical care transport nurse. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on assigned unit.
