Position Summary: The Lead Life Support Maintenance Manager Level III / Lead Underwater Combat Dive Technologies System Manager Level III serves as the senior technical authority and Key Personnel lead for Naval Special Warfare Group Two (NSWG-2) Logistics Support Unit Two (LOGSU-2) Dive Department operations. This position provides leadership, technical oversight, maintenance management, inventory accountability, training development, and operational support for combat diving systems, underwater propulsion systems, navigation systems, communications equipment, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), and associated Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct supervisory oversight of assigned Dive Department contractor personnel.
Develop and implement task management procedures to support efficient execution of maintenance, inventory, training, and operational requirements.
Monitor and document contractor performance and compliance with contractual requirements.
Serve as the lead technical authority for combat diving propulsion, navigation, communications, ROV, and life support systems.
Develop and deliver training programs for combat diving propulsion, navigation, communications systems, SHIELD SCBA equipment, and remotely operated vehicles.
Create training curricula, lesson plans, qualification programs, training records, and technical instructions supporting NSW users and operators.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on underwater combat systems, ROVs, support equipment, and associated ancillary systems.
Ensure operational readiness, accountability, maintenance, and proper issue of all assigned equipment.
Manage government-approved programs supporting NSWG-2 and WARCOM combat diving technologies.
Provide technical advice and recommendations to NSW leadership, engineers, maintainers, and program managers regarding system performance, maintenance, upgrades, testing, and future technology integration.
Maintain accurate inventories and accountability records for combat diving systems, ROVs, propulsion systems, communications systems, navigation equipment, and associated support equipment.
Conduct inventories and verify accountability of equipment issued to NSW units and personnel.
Generate maintenance records, inventory reports, deficiency reports, program updates, technical assessments, and leadership briefings.
Attend conferences, technical meetings, operational events, and training events supporting dive technologies and emerging capabilities.
Gather and evaluate information related to future underwater technologies and provide recommendations supporting NSW modernization efforts.
Ensure proper handling, transportation, storage, maintenance, and accountability of lithium battery systems and associated equipment.
Monitor compliance with Navy, Naval Special Warfare, NOSSA, NAVSEA, and applicable maintenance and safety regulations.
Support operational, training, deployment, inspection, maintenance, and inventory requirements as directed by Government leadership.
Qualification: Navy Dive School Certified (NEC 5342 / M1DV, USCG OPSDC, or higher).
Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience as a certified 5342 / M1DV, USCG OPSDC, or higher diver.
Experience: Minimum three (3) years of Naval Special Warfare (NSW) experience.
Qualification: Qualified as a Maintenance and Material Management (3M) Maintenance Person.
Qualification: Qualified as a 3M Quality Assurance Craftsman.
Qualification: Qualified as a 3M Work Center Supervisor.
Qualification: Qualified in accordance with NAVEDTRA 43910-(Series).
Experience: Managing maintenance, training, operational support, and inventory accountability programs involving diving systems and emerging underwater technologies.
Experience: Experience supporting underwater propulsion systems, navigation systems, communications equipment, Diving Life Support Systems (DLSS), and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
Certification: Must obtain and maintain factory-trained certifications for underwater navigation, communication, propulsion systems, and related equipment maintained by NSWG-2.
Certification: Must possess and maintain forklift certification up to 6,000-pound capacity.
Skills: Demonstrated experience developing training curricula, lesson plans, qualification programs, and technical instruction.

Perform physically demanding maintenance, inspection, and inventory management activities involving dive systems and support equipment.
Lift, carry, transport, inspect, and maintain diving equipment, propulsion systems, communications equipment, batteries, tools, and support materials.
Walk, stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in warehouses, maintenance facilities, piers, vessels, and operational maritime environments.
Travel and conduct training, maintenance, inspections, inventories, and operational support activities at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Work safely around lithium battery systems, oxygen systems, diving equipment, compressed gas systems, and specialized underwater technologies.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
