The Wideband Signals Analyst monitors and maintains situational awareness of Wideband SATCOM operations and ground control infrastructure. They are responsible for troubleshooting transmission links, reporting operational issues to the CSpOC, and ensuring mission system performance.
Candidates must have at least five years of experience in military SATCOM control and hold a Top Secret security clearance with SCI access. An associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience and an IAT Level 2 certification are also required.
Bowhead seeks a Wideband Signals Analyst at Schriever Space Force Base. The Wideband Signals Analyst will be proficient in the duties of the Transmission Controller position at the Space Force’s Wideband SATCOM Operations Centers (WSOC). The Wideband Watch Office provides oversight and monitoring of the Wideband SATCOM Operations and Management System Network (WSOMSNet) and engages Wideband SATCOM Operations Centers (WSOC) to maintain situational awareness of Wideband MILSATCOM's space-based assets and ground control infrastructure status. The Signal Analyst in the WBWO will report operational and maintenance issues to the Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC). The WBWO utilizes the DOSS, CNPS, WRMS, and GTC3S as the primary tools to perform their oversight and monitoring tasks. There is a 10% shift differential in addition to the base salary.
Note: 2 years of related experience may be substituted for 1 year of education. • 5 years' experience working as a military SATCOM controller. • Experience reviewing satellite command plans provided to the C-SSE and assist troubleshooting efforts by the WSOCs, RSSCs and SATCOM terminals.• Experience in the use of IT tools. • Ability to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks. • Strong enterprise network troubleshooting (Cisco IOS(s), IP routing, EIGRP) Strong skill set with Microsoft Office software applications. • Demonstrated ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment Support critical operations during standard and non-standard working hours • IAT Level 2 certification (e.g. Security + CE, CySA +, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, CND) • Ability to travel up to 10%.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a Top Secret security clearance with SCI access.
Physical Demands:• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
