The Histotechnologist prepares tissue specimens for surgical pathology examination through embedding, cutting, and staining. They are responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring compliance with quality and productivity standards.
Requires a Bachelor's or Associate degree in a chemical, biological, or medical laboratory science. Preferred candidates have 1+ years of clinical histology experience and HTL(ASCP) certification.

A Brief Overview
The Histotechnologist I prepares tissue specimens for surgical pathology examination. This includes evaluating the acceptability of the specimens, properly embedding the processed tissue, cutting/sectioning the specimens, and staining the slides using automated or manual methods.
